The Gala Dinner was an overwhelming success. Over 160 alumni, former and current faculty, families of past faculty and current students and staff and special guests celebrated the School’s 50-year legacy. Twelve members, of the School’s first graduating class (1970) were escorted into the dinner by Kingston’s Town Crier, Chris Whyman, who delivered an official Proclamation. Those in attendance were welcomed by the current Minister of Heath and Long-Term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins (via letter), Kingston and the Islands MPP Sophie Kiwala, Kingston Mayor, Bryan Paterson and Queen’s Principal, Dr. David Woolf. Reflections were offered by Class of 1970 representatives Linda Watson and Linda Shrout and retired associate Dean of Health Sciences and former School director, Dr. Sandra Olney. Josie Lui, Class of 2017 President, and current Vice-Dean Health Sciences and School Director, Dr. Marcia Finlayson, spoke on the future of the School.
